Abstract
Environmental leadership is needed to realize sustainable business based on environmental leadership performance (financial, social, environment). This study aims to produce a model of environmental leadership in profit-oriented companies based on local wisdom, psychological conditions, and pro-environmental behavior. The theoretical basis is environmental leadership theory to realize environmental leadership performance based on triple bottom line. The study uses quantitative methods in all rural banks headquartered in the city of Semarang (25 companies) in April – May 2021 with 327 respondents including commissioners, directors, managers, supervisors, and executives. Empirical data were analyzed by SEM AMOS. The results show that pro-environmental behavior (PRL = perilaku ramah lingkungan) mediates the influence of local wisdom (KL = kearifan lokal) and psychological conditions (KP = kondisi psikologi) on environmental leadership performance (KKL = kinerja kepemimpinan lingkungan). The theoretical implication of this research is successfully developed the environmental leadership model for the development of literature and psychological assessment materials. The novelty of research is getting empirical evidence that local wisdom and psychological conditions are new variables mediated by pro-environmental behavior.
