Abstract
This research, entitled “The Heroism of John Constantine” has the objective to find the heroism value of John Constantine in Francis Lawrence’ movie “Constantine”. The data for the study were analyzed based on Frank Farley’s Heroism theory. The data were discussed by using descriptive explanation and were analyzed and interpreted with the finding that John Constantine have all of the twelve values supplied by Farley that makes him a hero. Those values are Bravery, Determination, Wisdom, Self – Sacrifice, Hard Work, Conscience, Courage, Responsibility, Reliability, Steadfastness, Dedication, and Life-Giving.
