Abstract
Indonesia is a country that has many cultures. One of the well-known cultures of Indonesia is Batik. Regions in Indonesia have a wide variety of Batik patterns and colors. Batik art has existed since the days of the Majapahit Kingdom and continues to grow until now. In the early 19th century all batik produced was written batik until the early 20th century. Then in 1920 batik stamp began to be known after World War I. Making batik means throwing dots repeatedly on a cloth. The second batik is derived from the word "amba" which means wide fabric and the word dot. The meaning is that Batik is the points drawn on a wide fabric media so as to produce beautiful patterns (Musman and Arini, 2011). The Batik Museum in Semarang is a place for batik displays which gives knowledge about its development. This museum not only displays objects, but also provides a means of learning and playing for students as an introduction to batik. The Batik Museum in Semarang will provide educational and commercial tourism facilities, namely Fun and Learn Batik, Batik Museum, Batik Shop and Food Court. With these facilities, students will be more interested in learning batik at Batik Fun and Learn because it invites students not only to see, but to interact using digital technology. Creating a building that attracts the attention of visitors of all ages can increase the desire to visit the Batik Museum through its unique traditional building forms and technology. Because it becomes a means of education, museum batik can be a means of learning, playing and interesting for children, adolescents, and adults. Traditional architecture and spatial planning at Rumah Jawa can be combined into a new building that is interesting and not boring for visitors who come. Designing a building that is not too traditional but not too modern, so creating a building by upholding the nature of traditional arrangement will be the hallmark of the building. Because it is a public building that can be accessed by all people, people with disabilities need to be provided with facilities that facilitate and facilitate the activities within the building.
