Abstract
Literally art has many kinds and varieties. Literally art is divided into novel, short story, poetry, etc. Literally art is an individual emotion based on experience and expressed into literally writing. Songs which are released from one country would be different. It is influenced by each culture of the country. AKB48 release four until five singles in a year. This research is intended to discuss seasons in Japan which is representing by AKB48’s song lyrics. It is expected that this research will inform readers on how the Japanese sees seasons in their country. It is also hoped that the readers will learn that song lyrics are not only worth to listen to but also are worth to study as a knowledge. The songs which are used as primary data of this thesis are, Sakura no Hanabiratachi, Manatsu no Sounds Good, Tsugi no Season, Anata to Christmas. The purpose of this research is to show about four songs of AKB48 representing each season in Japan. That is why, in this research, the qualitative method is used to explain about the figurative language. There are three steps to follow. First, the writer will make a general interpretation of the lyrics. Secondly, the writer will find the connection between lyrics and four seasons. At the end, the writer will analyze the song lyrics based on Figurative language by listening and making an analysis of each figurative words on these song, this research finds that those songs portrayed a feeling of four seasons in Japan.
