Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine coping stress by members of the Indonesian Army after serving in conflict areas. This study uses qualitative methods through a phenomenological approach. Data collection was carried out by observation and interviews with three TNI in the Batalyon Infanteri 410/Alugoro, Blora. The results showed that TNI used emotion focused coping more than problem focused coping. Emotion focused coping that is used is sublimation, positive reappraisal, self-control and repression while the problem focused coping forms include seeking social support and apathy. Key words : coping stress, TNI
