Abstract
During this time, very competitive market situation with the existence of an increasingly tight competition among producers. Many companies have to innovate to able the continous the demands of the market and the sustainability of the company. One such company is the Vans that had been founded in 1966. This research was conducted to find out the various factors that affect the purchasing decision shoes Vans by Students in Semarang city. Data collection techniques used is distribute questionnaires with Googleformto the fives University in Semarang City within 30 proportion respondents in every University. analysis of the model used factor analysis. The factors underlying the Vans shoe purchasing decisions by students in Semarang is a factor of product quality, brand image factor, power factor and a factor of interest in collaboration the brand. From the results of the study, pointed out that most of the factors that affect the purchasing decision shoes Vans by students in Semarang city is quality product factors with the highest percentage with variance value 34.906%. As for the lowest factor is the collaboration brand with variance value only 7.556%. Keywords: Purchasing Decisions, Quality of the Product, Factors Analysis
