Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine logotherapy for decreased levels of depression in women victims of domestic violence. The design of this research is one group pretest posttest design. Instrument in this research is Beck Depression Inventory II (BDI-II) and Purpose In Life scale (PIL) as check manipulation. The intervention of logotherapy was performed for 4 sessions and 4 times for one week. Logotherapy in this meeting was done individually on 5 women victims of domestic violence. The results of this study are in accordance with the hypothesis that there are differences in depression scores before and after logotherapy (Z = 2.023 significance 0.042 <α 0.05). After the logotherapy intervention the mean depression score was 18 and before the intervention mean score of depression was 28. Logotherapy can reduce the depression in women victims of domestic violence. Depression after receiving logotherapy is lower than before getting logotherapy..
