Abstract
This research aimed to test empirically the relation between self- efficacy, parent social support and academic stress among student of RSSI Senior High School. The main hypothesis proposed was there is relation between self-efficacy, parent social support and academic stress among student of RSBI Senior High School. Population of this research was students of grade XI RSSI program SMAN 3 Semarang. The sample the were 114 students, who were selected by cluster random sampling technique. Data collection method used were academic stress scale, self- efficacy scale and parent social support scale. Major hypothesis test result was there was significant corelation betvveen self-efficacy, parent social support and academic stress on student of RSSI Senior High School with Rx12y = 0,620 and F = 34,712 with P < 0.01. Minor hypothesis were tested by product moment correlation. First minor hypothesis test result was there was very siqnflcant negative relat onship between self-efficacy with academic stress on student of RSSI Senior High School with rXly = - 0,593 with p < 0,01. The second minor hypotheses test result was there was very significantly negative relanonsnip between parent social support and academic stress on student of RSBI Senior H'qh School with rx2y= -0,357 with P < 0,01. Therefore. hypotheses were accepted.
