Abstract
ABSTRACT Direct monitoring of patients at hospitals requires a large workforce due to the large number of inpatients. Long distance monitoring of patients at the hospital can be resolved using a micro controller without having to visit the patient's room directly. Micro controller used in this project were Arduino Uno and Arduino Mega 2560 micro controller. The sensor used in this project are MAX30100 as heartbeat detector, infrared temperature sensor MLX90614 as human body temperature detector. Another tool used in this project are ESP8266 series wifi module as a connector with the internet and transmission of data generated by the sensor to www.thingspeak.com server and hosting server. ESP8266 series wifi module can also receive data from the hosting server that will be continue on GSM Shield SIM900A shield module as SMS sender if patient data received in abnormal condition. On www.thingspeak.com server can store and display data. Then, on the hosting server the data received is stored in the database and displayed with the data diagram as a monitoring tool and can play sound an alarm if the patient's in abnormal condition.
