Abstract
The objective of this research is to examine the relationship between dividen payout ratio and capital expenditure with Earning Response Coefficient. The variables under study were dividen payout ratio, capital expenditure, and Earning Response Coefficient. The source of this research data was secondary data, in the form of Indonesian Capital Market Directory. ERC was measured by coefficient regression of Cummulative Abnormal Return with Unexpected Earning and return as a control variable. Dividen Payout ratio was measured with Dividend paid / Net Income. In the other side Capital Expenditure was measured with Fixed Asset in the end of year less with Fixed Asset in the beginning year. The result of the analysis and discussion revealed that there was negative and significant relationship between capital expenditure with Earning Response Coefficient.
