Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan-kebutuhan psikologi anak berbakat di kelas akselerasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Purposive Sampling dengan total subjek sebanyak 20 orang terdiri dari 14 orang perempuan dan 6 orang laki-laki. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA N 3 Semarang. Untuk mengungkap kebutuhan-kebutuhan psikologis digunakan tes EPPS (Edwards Personal Preference Schedule) sebagai metode utama dan wawancara sebagai metode pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lima kebutuhan tertinggi dan lima kebutuhan terendah. Lima kebutuhan tertinggi yaitu kebutuhan akan penonjolan diri (need of exhibition), kebutuhan penyesuian diri (need of intraception), kebutuhan berprestasi (need of achievement), kebutuhan menguasai (need of dominance), kebutuhan akan perubahan (need of change). Selanjutnya lima kebutuhan terendah yaitu kebutuhan keteraturan (need of order), kebutuhan kemandirian (need of autonomy), kebutuhan diperhatikan (need of succorance), kebutuhan heteroseksual (need of heterosexuality), kebutuhan menghormati (need of deference).
