Abstract

Objective : This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Para ovarian on unexplained infertility. The goal is to confirm women’s infertility without any need of infertility treatment after removing the para ovarian cyst. Method : A 5 years Analytic Observational Retrospective study was conducted in Anugerah Women & Children hospital of 70 unexplained infertility patients. The first group of patients who has < 5 years of unexplained infertility and the second group was > 5 year infertility. The surgery was done laparoscopically. The patients were followed up with a telemedicine system to inform the fertile day and analysed with χ2 or Fisher's and Kruskal-Wallis. Results : In this study, The average age of patients is 32.6 years. A para ovarian cyst that arises from walfian duct called a para fimbrial cyst occurred most frequently with 74.3 % happening in patients with more than five-year infertility. The mean of the para-ovarian cyst was 4.3 cm and all were managed by laparoscopically with p<0.05. 95 % CI. The pregnancy happened significantly less than 6 months after the surgery, 74.3% of pregnancies were without intervention in para- ovarian cysts < 3cm (p-value 0.027 95% CI); moreover, the patients with cysts >5 cm were also statistically proven. (p-value 0.016%, 95% CI). Conclusion : It would be grossly incorrect since it is known and believed that many unknown factors are related to unexplained infertility. Laparoscopy enucleation surgery is technically easier and not time- consuming, it should be considered in every case of unexplained infertility.
