Abstract
bstract— This study focuses on designing an accounting information system for the Home Industry Animal Shampoo Shiro in Semarang, which lacks structured accounting records. This absence leads to inaccurate financial information, hindering decision-making. The system design utilizes the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, aiming to address these issues by automating journal entries and generating accurate financial statements, including profit and loss and financial position reports. The system is developed using the Laravel framework, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL. Users can filter reports based on specific periods, providing detailed insights into sales, purchases, inventory, and financial performance. The design incorporates various diagrams like Use Case and Activity Diagrams, and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) to ensure the system meets business needs. The study concludes that the designed system effectively resolves the company’s financial record-keeping issues. Suggestions for future research include adding other financial reports and studying the impact of accounting information systems on company performance.
