Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of a drastic decline in Surabaya's Tolerant City Index from 2018 to 2022. The purpose of this research is to see how FKUB as a key opinion leader takes a strategic communication role in an effort to increase the Tolerant Index of Surabaya City. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and literature studies. The results of this study show that FKUB as a key opinion leader has various routine and incidental interfaith activities to maintain interfaith harmony in Manado City. However, in preparing the interfaith program, FKUB always pays attention to aspects of communication strategy. Of all the aspects of the communication strategy, the most emphasized aspect is the target target, namely the youth in Surabaya City. The researcher hopes for more research that discusses FKUB. Especially topics that discuss the involvement of FKUB Surabaya politically in the city of Surabaya.
