Abstract

High-risk pregnancies are in the top 10 cases in the work area of one of the Public Health Centers in Semarang, where one of its sub-districts is ranked first in high-risk pregnancies. The lack of awareness of the Public Health Center Cadres regarding the psychological condition of pregnant women makes the anxiety felt by pregnant women often overlooked because they focus more on physical health. Providing psychoeducation programs to health center cadres related to high pregnant women's anxiety and providing training on simple relaxation techniques is one of the interventions to overcome this case. This intervention aims to give cadres an understanding of anxiety in high-risk pregnant women to provide first aid when they experience this. To test the differences in the results of the pre-test and post-test scores on anxiety comprehension which were arranged based on the material provided, the researcher use Wilcoxon Rank Test using JASP Software. From the results of the statistical test, the result show that there was a very significant difference in knowledge after the researcher gave the program (z=-3.059; p=0.002), so it means that the cadres had better understanding after the program was implemented (M=84.3; SD=5.6) than before (M=42.4; SD=8.3). This result shows that the program increased the cadres' knowledge about the anxiety of high-risk pregnant women. In addition, this program was also successfully continued in the visitation process carried out by cadres so that pregnant women with high risk could receive the program adequately.
