In a classroom, we need to interact with peers and lecturbrs so that the The purpose of this study is to describe the classroom interaction between the 200012001 and 2001/2002 at the Faculty of Letters Soegijapranata Catholic University Semarang, There were. 8 students who joined Reading 1 class and 15 students in Reading 2 class. Reading 1 and 2 classes and describing tie conver;;'ations which occ ed in both classes, it cfi!lbe revealed that the interactiohwhich OCCUlTedin both Reading 1 and 2 classes did not happen smoothly, This was due to the so many pauses and repetitions words to express their ideas and opinions.
