Abstract

Abstract— PT. Trikarya Sejahtera is an auto parts distributor company located in Semarang. Based on the results of interviews with owners and research conducted at the company, the company has problems recording sales, purchases, inventories, and financial reports. The company still uses books and Microsoft Excel in its records. Given this problem, the authors provide a solution by creating a website-based accounting information system using the Laravel framework. The objective of this study is to help the owners check the company performance, and record the sales and purchases. By utilizing the Waterfall Method, this study aims to provide PT. Trikarya Sejahtera with an effective and efficient website-based accounting information system that meets their specific requirements. The systematic approach of the Waterfall Method ensures a well-structured and documented development process, leading to a reliable and user-friendly accounting system. The design process starts with requirements gathering, where the specific accounting needs of PT. Trikarya Sejahtera are identified and documented. This includes functions such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and inventory management. The requirements are then translated into a detailed system design, specifying the database structure, user interface design, and system functionalities. The hypothesis in this study states that the creation of website-based accounting by PT Trikarya Sejahtera is possible and in the future it can help the company's bookkeeping to be more effective and efficient.
