Abstract
Problems of education in Indonesia can not be separated from the various parties such as the system of maltreatment, poor nutrition, social system and political system that does not give priority to the values of education, family and community are less concerned with education, the presence of globalization is so powerful, less qualified teachers, and students who are not motivated achieve better performance. Sexual abuse, rape, fights, bullying, drugs, do not respect their parents and teachers, suicide, depression, and stress in education make common concern. To prevent these things need to be implanted and mental health interventions in education. One is the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) where students are given a package to run the program 1) Awareness of self and others, 2) positive attitude and values, 3) Making responsible decisions, and 4) social interaction skills. Another program is the analysis of the needs of a community-based mental health, mental health interventions which are based on the values and the importance of mental health needs are balanced with academic achievement.
