Abstract
Before the mentoring programs for PLWHA were made, there were many things to know and be prepared by the counterpart team. Although people living with HIV/AIDS have similar problems to their health, as a person he/she must have a uniqueness in their psychological needs. There is a possibility that their psychological needs are the same, but there must be different. In relation with this study, researchers would look deeper in psychological needs and personality profiles for PLWHA. The efforts by researchers to uncover psychological needs and personality profiles used tools of EPPS (Edward Personality Preference Schedule). Subjects in this study there were 8 people. Based on the results of the study, it could be concluded that the need for prominent appeared in the subjects was need achievement (M, KS, O and Tr), abasement (M, B, Ar and Tr), and nurturance (O, B, Ar and Tr).
