Abstract

The purpose of this research is to create a model of the behavior of individual investors in Indonesia. Model portfolio based on personality and demography. This research method using quasi design experimentation within the subject block random. Pretest and posttest do in Semarang, then outside of Java, North Sumatra and North Sulawesi to represent the number of individual investors outside of Java. The result of this research is the optimal portfolio formed from the combination of 3 shares, or 11 shares with different personality types. Investor dominant personality in this research is the type of peace maker and type precisionist. This type is the result of a combination of the type of dominance (confident, independent, assertive, direct, active, dynamic, leader, adventurer, plunger or ram), steadiness (friendly, patient, sociable, quiet, sympathetic, many friends), and compliance (loyal, diligent, thinkers, realistic, serious, taste).
