Abstract
This thesis is about characterization analysis from a biographical film The Ron Clark Story. The subject of this study is the main character, Ron Clark. The purpose of this thesis was to gain a better understanding of Ron Clark and learn something from it. The characterization was analyzed using the direct and indirect method. The characterization aspect used for this study were: appearance, dialogue, action, background and environment, and other characters. The method used to analyze the data was observation from Creswell's qualitative method and the theories were found from Rimmon-Kenan and Boogs & Petrie. In this study, there were eight personalities which found and being analyzed: dedicated, patient, wise, persistent, strict and easy-going, kind-hearted, optimist and brave, and charismatic. The result shows that the character Ron Clark is a unique, interesting, outstanding, and one of a kind character. Keywords: The Ron Clark Story, character, characterization, characterization aspects
