Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris hubungan antara mastery goal orientation dengan psychological well-being pada remaja yang merupakan siswa SMA Masehi 1 Semarang. Hipotesis pada penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif antara mastery goal orientation dengan psychological well-being pada remaja, semakin tinggi mastery goal orientation yang dimiliki maka semakin tinggi psychological well-being remaja. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 12 di SMA Masehi 1 Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian populasi atau studi populasi. Jumlah populasinya sebesar adalah 72 siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan korelasi Product Moment. Hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai korelasi sebesar rxy= 0.472 (p<0.01), artinya terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara mastery goal orientation dengan psychological well-being pada remaja. Semakin tinggi mastery goal orientation yang dimiliki maka juga semakin tinggi psychological well-being remaja. Sumbangan efektif variabel mastery goal orientation terhadap psychological well-being pada remaja sebesar 22,27%. Kata kunci : mastery goal orientation, psychological well-being, remaja
