Abstract

This study analyzes Semarang university student’s intention using e-money based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). TAM is the most widely used model in predicting information technology acceptance and has proven to be a very useful theoretical model in helping to understand and explain user behavior in the implementation of e-money. One of information technology development is changing in payment instruments. Today people who used to use cash-based tools have started to recognize and use non-cash payments in carrying out various payment transaction activities. One of the non-cash payment instruments currently developing in Indonesia is electronic money or commonly called e-money. The sample is 373 Semarang university accounting student’s accredited A based on BAN-PT. The data analysis technique is multiple linear regression. The results are perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and perceived safety has a positive effect on student’s intention using e-money.
