Abstract
Thepurposeofthisstudyto understand a relationship between emotional intelligenceandtrendofselfinjuryinadolescents.Thehypothesisproposedis aboutthenegativerelationshipbetweenemotionalintelligenceandtrendofself injuryinadolescents.TheresearchsubjectswerestudentsofSemarangState MiddleSchool13.Thetotalnumberofresearchsubjectswas90students.The measuringinstrumentusedistheself-protectionscaleandemotionalintelligence scale.ThedataanalysistechniqueusediscorrectionofProductMoments.The resultsshowedthatthevariablesofself-protectionwithemotionalintelligence werenotcorrelated(rxy-0.47withp>0.05).Thus,theproposedhypothesisis rejected,soitcanbedeniedthatthereisnorelationshipbetweenemotional intelligenceandtheprotectionofpersonalsafetyinadolescents Keywords:Emotionalinteligence,trendofselfinjury
