Abstract

The capital market has an important role in the economy of a country. With the importance of capital markets in the country, it will be sensitive to an event. In 2017 the government under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) issued ESDM Ministerial Regulation Number 05 of 2017 which contains an increase in mineral added value, by conducting domestic mineral processing and refining activities. The purpose of this study was to look at the stock market's reaction to the issue of ESDM Ministerial Regulation Number 05 of 2017 by looking at trade returns and volumes. The result of this study is that there is no reaction on the return and there is a reaction on the trading volume. Keyword: return, trading volume, ESDM Ministerial Regulation Number 05 of 2017
