Abstract

This research tried to find out the correlation between organizational communication climate and employee’s job performance. The objects of this research were 9 sub branches of Panin Bank located at Semarang municipality. The respondents were 10 male and 35 female employees consisting of 5 persons each sub branch. The primary data for this research were from questionnaire and interviews and the secondary one was from library study. This research used quantitative method using bivariate analysis to test the hypothesis with a significance level of 5%. The result of the test showed that the significance value 0.00 < 0.05 which means that there is a significant correlation between both variables. Based on this research, it was found that the significant correlation between organizational communication climate and employee’s job performance variables. This result showed that if the organizational communication climate improves, the employee’s job performance will improve also. Future researchers would develop broader and deeper studies about the correlations between organizational communication climate and employee’s job performance. For example by making some other variables of even more variables since this research is limited to find only the correlation between two variables.
