Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between religiosity and premarital sexual behavior in college students. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a negative relationship between religiosity and premarital sexual behavior college students. This study uses the University X collge student population in the city of Semarang with an age range of 18-21 years. Sampling using incidental sampling with a total subject of 51 students. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. The measuring instrument used in this study is the scale of religiosity and the scale of premarital sexual behavior. Data analysis in this study was carried out using Spearman's correlation technique through the help of the SPSS version 16.0 program. The results showed that rho= -0.406 with significance (p <0.01), which means there is a very significant negative relationship between the two variables. These results indicate that the research hypothesis was accepted. The effective contribution of religiosity with premarital sexual behavior was 16.48%.
