Abstract
Competitive debate is becoming more popular among high school and university students. Schools and universities in Indonesia hold competitive debates and many students have even joined international competitive debates. The increasing popularity of competitive debate necessitates the need to train students who are interested in competitive debate in order to refine their skills. The Faculty of Letters in Soegijapranata Catholic University is committed to providing English language training to public as part of its community service. iDebate is one of the community service programs for high school students. This module is designed as a material for iDebate co-curricular program. This module consists of four chapters. The first chapter presents the introduction to debate. The second chapter describes what argumentation is and the process of argumentation. The third chapter talks about research in debate, and the last chapter presents activities that students can use to practice and refine their debating skills. I certainly hope that this module can be useful for students or anyone who want to know more about competitive debating and to refine their skills.
