Abstract

Children with age 9-12 years old is important because in this age they need balance nutrition for their growth The wrong pattern of consumption can affect nutritional adequacy rate and nutritional status. The purpose of this research is knowing the food consumption pattern and nutritional adequancy rate for children has age between 9-12 years old in Bina Harapan Christian Elementary School Purbalingga. That school is one of elementary school in Purbalingga which good quality and the written hope their student can completely data. The research use interview to corresponden method and Recall Diet the corresponden food profile. The target is student has class IV, V, and VI in Bina Harapan Christian Elementary School Purbalingga. This research do 12 days without consecutive (8 days weekdays and 4 days weekends). The intake of food and calories from the food consumed is calculated to determine the nutritional adequacy rate with using the collective data. Then monitoring the state of nutrition with anthropometric measurements. Selection of anthropometry index using body mass index based on age. The data tabulation use Ms. Excel, while data analysis use bivariate analysis test to know there is a meaningful relation between independent variable with dependent variable. Based on the results of the research, the majority of the father and mother’s last education is senior high school. The majority of father’s occupation is entrepreneur and mother’s occupation majority work is housewife. the nutritional status of respondents is good, only a lot of respondents who excess nutritional status. The overall nutritional adequacy rate is good. Food pattern of respondents is good. The conclusion of this research is, the food pattern of children aged 9-12 years in Christian Primary Purbalingga is good with consumption of 61.32% carbohydrate, 13.98% protein, and 22.99% fat in the daily intake of respondents. Energy Sufficiency carbohydrate adequacy ratio, protein sufficiency rate of respondents studied has sufficient daily needs although the percentage of fat sufficiency is still lacking but in consumption patterns, carbohydrate, protein and fat intake is good enough . The energy adequacy rate is influenced by nutritional knowledge and nutritional status of respondents. Carbohydrate Adequacy Rate is influenced by gender, nutritional status, and nutritional knowledge value. Protein Sufficiency Rate is influenced by sex, father work, parent income, and nutritional status. Fat Sufficiency Rate is affected by age.
