Abstract
Jajan pasar merupakan salah satu warisan budaya kuliner yang ada di Solo. Keberadaan jajan pasar perlahan-lahan tergeser oleh jaman yang semakin modern. Minat masyarakat terhadap jajan pasar tergolong tinggi, namun jajan pasar sendiri merupakan hal yang paling rentan untuk dilupakan. Tebatasnya ingatan manusia semakin membuat jajan pasar benar-benar terlupakan. Melalui hasil survey yang telah dilaksanakan, maka rumusan masalah yang ada adalah bagaimana menciptakan sebuah buku esai fotografi yang memuat tentang jajan pasar tradisional yang ada di kota Solo. Tujuan dari perancangan adalah untuk memperlihatkan bahwa jajan pasar tradisional masih ada walaupun keberadaannya semakin tergeser jaman, sehingga menggugah kesadaran masyarakat untuk terus menjaga dan melestarikan jajan pasar tradisional yang ada di Solo. Dengan mengenal lebih dalam mengenai budaya sendiri, maka kita dapat memperkenalkan kepada khalayak lebih luas. Sehingga ini juga berdampak semakin meningkatkan sektor pariwisata dan citra Solo sebagai kota yang kaya akan tradisi budaya kuliner. Kata kunci : jajan pasar tradisional di Solo, masyarakat, buku esai fotografi Snack market is one of the culinary heritage in Solo . The existence snack market is slowly displaced by increasingly modern era . Public interest in the snack market is high , but the snack market itself is the most prone to be forgotten . Her enjoy unlimited human memory are increasingly making snack market completely forgotten . Through the results of the survey that was conducted , the existing formulation of the problem is how to create a book containing photographic essay on the traditional snack market in the city of Solo . The aim of the design is to show that the traditional snack market is still there although its presence increasingly displaced era , thus arouse public awareness to continue to maintain and preserve traditional snack market in Solo . By knowing more about their own culture , then we can introduce to a wider audience . So this also affects the tourism sector and further enhance the image of the city of Solo as the culturally rich culinary traditions .
