Abstract

ABSTRACT Cases of plagiarism in recent years has been an issues. Based on that issues, this research will create a system to detect similarity in a text. There is an aspect as reference of the research that is analyze the plagiarism algorithm. In this final study project, It will analyze the accuration one of plagiarism algorithm, that is the winnowing algorithm. Winnowing is plagiarism detection algorithm based on document fingerprinting. Document fingerprinting is part of winnowing algorithm formula as reference to gain similarity in text document. This algorithm are more purpose to a document text such an article, journal, and text file. To calculate percentage similarity of document fingerprinting in text, there are 3 method similarity that will be used in the project that is jaccard similarity coefficient, sorensen dice similarity coefficient, andberg similarity coefficient. The result from the research is percentage similarity of text sample is different in each method similarity. And also if sorted the 3 method similarity in number, the result is sorensen dice similarity coefficient, jaccard similarity coefficient, andberg similarity coefficient.
