Abstract

SMS (Short Message Service) is a message which send to another user directly. In this era, there are many company have been use SMS as a poll, security service, and many more. Along with development of need an information and data, sending message by phone is not effective anymore. In this case, to send and receive messages needed a lot of time. In this case, to send and receive messages needed a lot of time, therefore needed an application to manage data will be send and receive. Nowaday, there is application which can handle it as known as SMS Gateway. SMS Gateway is an application which connect between computer, and modem. This project would create an SMS Gateway application by using python as it's program language, CGI for that interface, and MySQL for the database. This project will support multi modem processing, which can separately send by number's provider. In this way, the cost of sending messages will be reduce. The result of this project is for simplify user to send and receive messages in huge amount. This project can create a new group and contact, send message to contact and group, and customize the sending time . Sending and receiving process of SMS, can be more efficient and effective by using this project. Keyword: sms gateway, python, CGI
